Project SELSI deals with spoken Easy Language
The project started on the 1st of November 2022.
It will last until the 31st of October 2024.
SELSI stands for Spoken Easy Language for Social Inclusion.
Project is led by Zavod Risa (Slovenia).
Partners are:
- Vilniaus universitetas (Lithuania),
- Università degli studi di Trieste (Italy),
- VšĮ Informacijos kaupimo ir sklaidos centras (Lithuania),
- Vieglās valodas aģentūra (Latvia),
- Dyslexiförbundet (Sweden),
- RTV Slovenija (Slovenia).
Until now, Easy Language has been mostly researched
as a writing technique.
SELSI will deliver a model of communication
in spoken Easy Language.
At the start of the project,
SELSI will research what has been done
in the field of spoken Easy Language in Europe.
SELSI will develop recommendations and strategies
for spoken Easy language.
At the end of the project,
SELSI will introduce an online tool
in different languages.
Tatjana Knapp, director of Zavod Risa,
is the leader of project SELSI.
Tatjana Knapp said:
We will work with researchers, professionals,
media and end-users.
We will try to produce something useful
in the field of adult education.
And of other professional settings.
For example television and radio broadcasting.
