The University of Pavia (UNIPV) is
one of the world’s oldest academic institutions.
It has been established in 1361.
There are more than 900 professors and researchers
working at the university
and there are around 24.000 students.

UNIPV is part of many national and European projects.
For example: Erasmus+, Strategic Partnerships, and Horizon 2020.

The university’s Department of Humanities
is heavily involved in various research areas,
especially focusing on language and linguistics,
foreign languages, linguistic complexity,
simplification, audiovisual translation,
and analyzing spoken language,
especially in learning contexts.

The University of Pavia has joined the SELSI project
on November 2, 2023.
